Campus life is pretty darn exciting here at Wilkes. The campus empties quite a bit on weekends because we have such a large amount of commuters and many students go home during weekends, but there is much to do in the city of Wilkes-Barre. At Wilkes University all freshman, besides commuters, do have to live on campus. Wilkes does give the opportunity for freshman to request roommates if they know someone else going with them or if they meet someone at orientation. There is definitely a big percentage of students attending this university that get financial aid. The most common scholarship given out is actually one you don't even have to apply for. Wilkes awards students with good SAT scores big scholarships varying with the SAT score. The largest given out is $11,000 a year for four years if you score, i believe, a 1200 or higher, but there are others given for scores not as high as well. Many...
