Explain the changing nature of the relationship between Johnathan Harker and Count Dracula. 

Why is Jonathan Harker 'protected' in the scene with the tree women by Count Dracula at first, but menaced by him after (when he wants to escape)?

    If I understand your question correctly, the answer is because Dracula wantedJohnathan Harker to himself and would not allow the "tree women" to have them.
